The Legislative Council (LegCo) is the central authority responsible for legislative activities, including the enactment, amendment, and repeal of laws.

The Institute is very pleased to have Legislative Councillor and Institute Fellow, The Hon Edmund Wong, to arrange an exclusive guided tour for Institute members, graduates, students and student ambassadors and introduce the LegCo Complex in Tamar.

During this tour, Edmund will guide participants to visit the conference facilities and education facilities in the LegCo Complex. This state-of-the-art facility offers visitors a unique insight into the workings of Hong Kong's legislative system. Gain insights into the role of legislators in upholding ethical governance and transparency. Let’s learn more about the Legislative Council's key functions and responsibilities, and enhance the understanding of the work of LegCo.

1. The names of participants will be shared with the LegCo Secretariat for registration purposes. Upon successful registration, participants are deemed to agree to share this information to LegCo Secretariat.

2. Please read the “Rules for Participation in Guided Tour” of LegCo carefully before joining the tour.

Remarks:

1. This event is set out for HKCGI members, graduates, students and student ambassadors only. 

2. Enrolment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. No CPD point will be obtained for attending this event.

4. To safeguard the health of all participants, participants with any of the following circumstances are not encouraged to join:
-        Fever;
-        Presence of symptoms of novel infectious disease.

5. Photos will be taken during the event. They might be published at the Institute’s platforms including website, monthly journal (CGj), as well as the Institute’s media channels such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
