Graduates of the Institute are those who have completed the Institute’s Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme (CGQP) through examinations or accredited master’s degree programmes.
The Institute will inform students upon their completion of the CGQP and they will be required to pay a Graduate Advancement Fee before admission to Graduateship. Once the Graduateship is confirmed by the Institute, graduates should seek for election to membership (i.e. Associateship or Fellowship as appropriate) within 10 years after obtaining the graduate status.
Although Graduates are not members of the Institute, they are required to observe and be bound by the CGI’s Charter and Byelaws, the Institute’s Articles of Association and Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct
Graduates are entitled to receive graduate certificates and are eligible to use the designation ‘GradCG’ after their names for the duration of their Graduate status with the Institute.
