Description

After lung and colorectal cancers, breast cancer is the third most common cancer among women in Hong Kong. 791 women in total passed away from this malignancy in 2021, making up 12.4% of all female cancer deaths. Breast cancer has a mortality rate of 19.6 per 100,000 females.

The Institute supports the advancement of breast health and has in the past taken part in the ‘Pink Walk’ to raise funds for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (HKBCF). This will take place at the Peak on Hong Kong Island this year.

The event aims to assist the HKBCF's essential services for local women in educating the public about breast health and breast cancer prevention. You will find information on the Pink Walk on the HKBCF’s website.

You are welcome to join the Institute's team when it is formed. Together, let's work out while wearing PINK to support breast health!
