ESG Reporting Certification Course

A Certificate that Matters

Attendees of the Course who can successfully fulfil attendance requirements (by 30 October 2025) and pass a final assessment (in November 2025) will be accredited for two years (from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2027), and will also be permitted to use the post-nominal, 'HKCGI Cert: ESG' during the accreditation period.

The names and post-nominals of those who have successfully obtained the certification will be listed on the Institute’s designated webpage for prospective employers and public searches.

There will be a maximum of two intakes per year and a refresher course every two years for extended accreditation. The Course counts toward ECPD hours for Institute members.

Sustainability Governance Academy

All accredited Certification holders (the Holders) are eligible to join the HKCGI Sustainability Governance Academy (the Academy) free of charge.

Upon successful completion of the Seventh Cohort of ESG Reporting Certification Course (tentatively scheduled for 1 December 2025), the Holders are deemed to have agreed to be registered with the Academy and are eligible to enjoy the benefits of being a Sustainability Professional.

A separate email notification regarding the Academy will be sent to the Holders in December 2025. The Holders can, however, opt out at any time by email to academy@hkcgi.org.hk.
