The governance professional, serving as company secretary, is a key adviser to the chairman and the board, a guardian and promoter of good corporate governance, and an interface between the board and various stakeholders of an organisation. As today's world places increasing importance on corporate governance, the company secretary is now firmly regarded as part of senior management. Correspondingly, the expected roles and responsibilities have increased, and the company secretary must be better equipped on practical handling of matters, trouble-shooting and strategic input.
In this seminar, an experienced governance professional, with significant practical experiences in serving chairmen and boards, will provide sharing and practical tips of organising effective board meetings. The following elements will be covered:
