Description

The Exchange published the ‘Consultation Conclusions on the Review of Corporate Governance Code’ on 10 December 2021. The majority of the changes to the Corporate Governance Code (CG Code) will become effective on 1 January 2022, and are aimed to enhance corporate governance standards specifically in the areas of (a) culture, (b) board independence and refreshment, (c) diversity, (d) communication with shareholders and (e) ESG.

Governance professional will no doubt have to be knowledgeable on the practical impacts of the changes. This will contribute to effectiveness, and stature as trusted governance adviser.

In this seminar, Institute Chief Executive, Ms Ellie Pang FCG HKFCG, a former Exchange policy lead on corporate governance, will provide governance professional with up-to-date and relevant overview in accordance with the CG Code changes.

Joining her will be Institute Deputy Chief Executive, Mr Mohan Datwani FCG HKFCG(PE), to review the vexed topic of board diversity, with a focus on gender diversity.
