In recent years, the global economic downturn has presented unprecedented challenges for foreign investors in China. Alongside the need to reduce operating expenses, many are also facing the closure of certain operational locations. The deregistration of representative offices or branches, the liquidation of foreign-invested enterprises, and corporate mergers have become increasingly common. Among these challenges, effectively managing employment terminations or transfers is particularly critical.
This seminar will feature experts from labour law and payroll agency who will provide essential insights into the rules and regulations governing employment termination and transfer in China. In addition to exploring the legal framework that protects employee rights, the seminar will address the complexities associated with employment termination and transfer, as well as potential pitfalls that companies should avoid—an essential consideration during any process of deregistration, merger, or restructuring. The discussion will also encompass practical strategies for ensuring compliance while navigating the unique challenges of China's regulatory environment.
Our goal is to equip business leaders, as well as HR and compliance professionals, with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions during these challenging times, thereby ensuring a balance between legal obligations and effective business management.
