On 15 February 2024, CR announced that the restrictive measures contained in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2231 (2015) (viz. financial sanctions and travel ban) have ceased to apply. The sanctions list in respect of Iran has consequently been removed from the UNSC website, and the UNSC Consolidated Sanctions List has also been updated.
