About Pok Fu Lam Village and The Pokfulam Farm
Pok Fu Lam Village has a history of nearly 300 years and is one of the last remaining traditional villages on Hong Kong Island. The Old Dairy Farm set up a ranch in Pokfulam served as a base for milk production in the area. Following the closure of the ranch, Pokfulam Village faced the imminent threat of urban development encroaching upon its land. The Village was included in the 2014-2016 World Heritage Building Foundation watch list.
The Pokfulam Farm is a self-sustained non-profit making organisation. In 2015, Caritas - Hong Kong and the Pokfulam Village Cultural Landscape Conservation Group joined hands to establish The Pokfulam Farm Co. Ltd. and earned the opportunity to implement the conservation and adaptive reuse of Old Dairy Farm Senior Staff Quarters under the Development Bureau's Revitalising Historic Buildings through the Partnership Scheme.
