2025年作為聯合國 “國際冰川保護年” ，恰逢地球生態系統的關鍵轉折點。冰川加速消融、極端氣候頻繁，全球治理體系正面臨前所未有的環境危機挑戰。

為此，本會榮幸邀請中國極地探險家、氣候行動領袖溫旭先生（Polar Wen），以「破局極險：從冰原決策到治理韌性的領導力啟示」為主題，向會員、畢業學員及學員分享其生死一線的極地危機應對智慧。他將分享：

• 絕境決策模型：在零下40℃乳白天空（近乎零能見度）、冰裂縫致命威脅中，如何以有限資訊制定生存策略；
• 韌性領導核心：58天孤身穿越南極時應對物資匱乏、心理面臨巨大壓力的自我治理法則；

講座結尾亦有問答環節，參與者可直面這位“獨步南極穿越者”，探討如何在高不確定性環境中建構組織抗逆力。

2025 marks the United Nations’ “International Year of Glacier Preservation,” a pivotal moment for the Earth’s ecological systems. With accelerated glacial retreat and increasingly frequent extreme climate events, global governance structures are facing unprecedented environmental challenges. In response to these pressing issues, we are honored to invite renowned Chinese polar explorer and climate action leader, Mr. Wen Xu (Polar Wen), to speak on the theme: “Beyond the Whiteout: Decision-Making in Extreme Crises & Resilience Leadership.” He will share with members, graduates, and students his life-or-death wisdom forged in polar crisis scenarios, including:

• Decision-making under extreme adversity: How to formulate survival strategies with limited information in whiteout conditions of –40°C, navigating deadly crevasses under near-zero visibility;
• Core principles of resilient leadership: Self-governance techniques developed during his 58-day solo expedition across Antarctica, managing severe resource shortages and immense psychological stress;

The seminar will conclude with a live Q&A, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the “Solo Antarctic Traverser” and explore how organizational resilience can be built amid high-uncertainty environments.

Brief biography of Mr Wen Xu
溫旭先生（Polar Wen）極地科學探險家、氣候行動倡導者，「極地未來」（Polar Hub）聯合創辦人

溫旭先生為中國首位單人無助力無補給穿越南極的世界紀錄創造者（1500公里/58天），其探險歷程被紀錄電影《光語者：獨步南極》收錄。他擁有中國地質大學與中科院聯合培養的第四紀冰川學碩士學位，師從冰川學泰斗姚檀棟院士，曾12次登頂被譽爲“冰山之父”的慕士塔格峰鑽取冰芯，搶救性保存地球氣候遺產。

作為跨界行動領袖，他發起響應《巴黎協定》的“<2℃計劃”，率隊完成地球三極（珠峰/格陵蘭/南極）科學探險，推動聯合國確立“2025國際冰川保護年”，並主導建立中國首個公民科學冰芯庫，為全球氣候治理提供關鍵科研數據。

另外，溫旭先生現擔任中國科學探險協會極地科學探險專業委員會主任，其創立的公益組織「極地未來」獲聯合國「生態系統恢復十年」首批中國合作夥伴認證。

Mr. Wen Xu (Polar Wen) – Polar Science Explorer, Climate Action Advocate, and Co-founder of Polar Hub

Mr. Wen Xu is the first Chinese record-holder to complete a solo, unsupported, and unassisted traversal of Antarctica (1,500 km in 58 days). His remarkable expedition was featured in the documentary 《光語者：獨步南極》. He holds a Master’s degree in Quaternary Glaciology from the China University of Geosciences in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, having studied under the renowned glaciology expert, Academician Yao Tandong. Notably, he has ascended Muztagh Ata 12 times to extract ice cores, thereby salvaging key elements of the Earth's climatic heritage. As a cross-disciplinary action leader, Mr. Wen initiated the "<2℃ Plan" in response to the Paris Agreement, leading teams on scientific expeditions across the Earth's three poles (Mount Everest, Greenland, and Antarctica). He played a pivotal role in prompting the United Nations to designate 2025 as the "International Year of Glacier Preservation" and spearheaded the establishment of China’s first citizen science ice core repository, which provides critical research data for global climate governance.

Additionally, Mr. Wen currently serves as the Chair of the Polar Science Exploration Committee of the Chinese Association for Scientific Exploration. His non-profit organization, Polar Future, has been recognized as one of the inaugural Chinese partners under the United Nations “the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration”
