Description

This interactive seminar seeks to outline a ‘roadmap’ on key issues on the often-related issues of directors’ duties and shareholders’ rights. It is targeted at those who are sitting for the CGQP exams.

This session comprises two parts:

  • An overview of the key things to look for
  • A discussion of a case study (Case study material will be distributed to attendees ahead of the seminar.)

To attain maximum benefit attendees shall be required to submit a short one-page bullet point outline of the issues and the applicable law as they would if they were sitting for the actual exam as the role of the speaker is principally that of a facilitator to encourage more active and vibrant discussions through the process of ‘Learning by Sharing’.

Fee:

HK$50, refreshment will be provided during the event.

Remarks:

1. Enrolment will be confirmed upon receipt of full payment on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. All fees paid are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by HKCGI.
3. To safeguard the health of all participants, participants with any of the following circumstances are not encouraged to join:
- Fever;
- Presence of symptoms of novel infectious disease.

About the presenter:

Chee Keong LOW (‘CK’) FCG HKGCG is presently a member of the Council of the HKCGI where he serves as the Chairman of the Qualifications Committee and Chairman of the Investigation Group. He retired from The Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School in 2022 after more than 3 decades of teaching and research across a spectrum of company law and corporate governance issues. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform and recently completed two years of service as an inaugural member of the Advisory Committee of the AFRC.
