Description
We are delighted that our Immediate Past International President and Past President, Ms Edith Shih FCG(CS, CGP) FCS(CS, CGP)(PE) has kindly agreed to lead a seminar on a governance topic of the day.
The Government has recently promulgated provisions under the Companies Ordinance to protect the privacy rights of directors through the phased introduction of restrictions on public access to their usual residential addresses and identification document numbers under company records and fillings made at the Companies Registry, and for the company secretary in respect of full identification document numbers, which the Institute has always supported.
The seminar would discuss the details of the three phases relating to the coming into force of the relevant restrictions from 23 August 2021 to 27 December 2023 and their scope, along with practical implementation issues. Additional privacy concerns would also be addressed, including the wide access to information on members’ and other public registers.
