Description

Hong Kong incorporated companies are commonly used to hold Mainland business entities. Due to the growing importance of overseeing compliance issues for Mainland entities, it is crucial for company secretaries and practitioners in Hong Kong to understand the regulatory disparities between Hong Kong and the Mainland.

Mainland entities are required to complete annual reporting with various bureaus by 30 June each year, and the specific requirements for the current year may differ from those of the previous year. Therefore, it is essential to have a clear understanding of the current requirements.

In addition to the current requirements on annual reporting by Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises (WFOEs) and Representative Offices (ROs), the seminar will also cover the following topics:

  • Tips for monitoring the process of completing annual reporting exercises for WFOEs and ROs
  • Potential consequences and necessary rectification actions if annual reporting exercises are not completed on time
  • Possible queries raised by local authorities during random checks subsequent to the filing
  • Case study
