Description

The Asian Financial Forum (AFF) is a signature conference held by the Government of the HKSAR through the arrangements of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in January of each year attended by thousands of international delegates. Apart from the main conference, which will take place on 13-14 January 2025, the rest of the AFF week will contain events, including a seminar HKCGI has traditionally organised to support the AFF.

For 2025, the AFF theme is ‘Powering the Next Growth Engine’, and HKCGI is organising a seminar (1.5 hours) with the topic ‘Governance: The Driver of Growth’.

The seminar has an exceptional line-up of speakers, including Ms Gill Meller FCG HKFCG(PE), Legal and Governance Director, MTR Corporation Limited, Dr Kelvin Wong FCG HKFCG, Chairman of Securities and Futures Commission, Mr Michael Duignan, Executive Director, Corporate Finance Division, Securities and Futures Commission, Ms Renu Bhatia, Chairman of the HKEX Listing Committee, Mr Chris Brooke, INED of Link REIT, and Mr Stephen Wong, Partner of DLA Piper. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from regulators, directors and practitioners on how governance is the key driver to economic growth and its importance to Hong Kong’s reputation as a leading International Financial Centre.
