Description

Company secretaries play an increasingly crucial role in the realm of corporate governance, irrespective of whether they work in public companies, private companies, or non-governmental organisations in Hong Kong. Their responsibilities have expanded from managing compliance and administrative tasks to becoming governance advisors to the management during decision-making processes. This heightened level of accountability requires a deep understanding of a company's operations, the regulations governing them, and a strong foundation in various aspects of company secretarial practice.

In order to support students, graduates and members of the Institute as well as aspiring professionals working in the company secretarial field, the Institute is delighted to present the Foundation Training Series in Company Secretarial Practice (scheduled from April to November 2024). This series, led by Ms. YT Soon FCG HKFCG(PE) as the primary speaker, will comprise six online sessions and serve as an introduction to compliance matters in six specified areas of Hong Kong's private limited companies.

In Session 1 - Initial Set-up of Hong Kong Private Limited Companies, the following elements will be covered: 

• Incorporation matters
• Post-incorporation matters
• Basic annual compliance requirements

Interested parties are invited to join any or all of the 6 sessions, the coverage, date and time of which shall be confirmed when enrolment commences.
