Description
On 27 October 2023, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange published a consultation paper on proposed rule amendments to introduce a new treasury share regime, giving issuers greater flexibility in managing their capital structure through the resale of treasury shares. The comprehensive proposals of the treasury share regime will end on 27 December 2023. In anticipation of such changes, this seminar aims to provide governance professionals with an overview of the proposed rule amendments and practical tips on how to deal with potential issues that may arise after the new treasury share regime became effective. Additionally, a panel discussion will be held to explore the impact on listed companies and investors.
