Description

Board evaluations are part of the recommended best practices under the Listing Rules. Also, It is a mandatory disclosure requirement under the Listing Rules for an issuer to disclose its shareholder communication policy. HKEX advises under the 'Corporate Governance Guide for Boards and Directors', issuers can consider conducting board evaluations and providing a summary of it in the annual report and/or the corporate governance report as part of the disclosures. Board evaluations are no doubt a regulatory concern. 

This seminar will consider the practical implementation of board evaluations, which are expected to come under increasing regulatory focus over time. Seasoned professionals and practitioners will discuss how a board should review its performance. Why is this important? How do you do it effectively? There will also be practical sharing of best practices and pitfalls for governance professionals to understand and manage this regulatory concern.
