Appendix 3 to both the Main Board and GEM Listing Rules has been amended to set out the Core Shareholder Protection Standards (the “Core Standards”) which all issuers are required to observe. Existing overseas issuers shall incorporate the Core Standards into their constitutional documents not later than their second annual general meeting following 1 January 2022 unless the Stock Exchange is satisfied that the same protection has been provided by the regulations of the relevant jurisdictions.

In this seminar, speakers from Tricor Services Limited, a leading professional service provider in this area, will discuss the key elements of the Core Standards and share their insights on the implications on existing overseas issuers with case sharing.

The Core Standards is introduced to provide the same level of protection to all shareholders and is applicable to all issuers. Speakers will also examine the roles and functions of Investor Relations to enhance corporate governance with the effective communication with shareholders and the protection of shareholders’ rights.
