Election to the 2026 Council

The Council of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (the Institute) is pleased to provide the following updates regarding the election for the 2026 Council. 

Council member Robin B Healy FCG HKFCG, who is due to retire from Council at the end of 2025, being eligible, has decided to stand for re-election for a second term of three years. 

Daniel WS Chow FCG HKFCG(PE), Edmond MK Chiu FCG HKFCG(PE) and Wendy WT Ho FCG HKFCG(PE) will each complete their second term as Council members by the end of 2025. In accordance with the Institute’s Articles of Association, they will step down from Council effective 1 January 2026 and will cease holding office for at least one year before seeking election for any further term.  Council wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Mr Chow, Mr Chiu and Ms Ho for their dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the Institute during their tenure. 

Wei Fang FCG HKFCG has tendered his resignation as a member of Council, effective 1 January 2026, due to his other work commitments. Council would like to extend a vote of thanks to Mr Wei for his contributions to the Institute during his period of service. 

In addition to Robin B Healy seeking re-election, four (4) other candidates, Anita HL Chau FCG HKFCG, Professor Raymond MK Wong FCG HKFCG, Cindy Y Wong FCG HKFCG and Hailiang Zhang FCG HKFCG, have been nominated for election to the 2026 Council.  As the number of candidates does not exceed the number of vacancies, these candidates shall, subject to Council approval, be deemed duly elected members of Council as from the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute, pursuant to Article 55.2 of the Institute’s Articles of Association. 

During a Council meeting held on 3 November 2025, approval was granted for the election and re-election of the aforementioned candidates. Accordingly, the following individuals will formally assume their roles as members of the 2026 Council from the conclusion of the forthcoming AGM:

  1. Ms Anita HL Chau FCG HKFCG
  2. Mr Robin B Healy FCG HKFCG
  3. Professor Raymond MK Wong FCG HKFCG
  4. Ms Cindy Y Wong FCG HKFCG
  5. Mr Hailiang Zhang FCG HKFCG
