Nominations are invited for election to the Council of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI Council) at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Institute to be held on or about 16 December 2025.
Pursuant to the Articles of Association of the Institute, only Fellows who are ordinarily resident in the Division are eligible to stand for election. The HKCGI Council is also appointed as the Hong Kong/China Committee of The Chartered Governance Institute. If you wish to stand for election, please complete and sign the Nomination Form and submit it to the Institute Secretariat, either in person or by post, no later than 6.00 pm on Tuesday 30 September 2025 (Nomination Closing Date), or postmarked on or before this date.
In the event that the number of candidates does not exceed the number of vacancies, those nominated will, subject to the Council approval, be deemed elected. Where the number of candidates exceeds the available vacancies, the election will be conducted via voting.
All candidates are required to submit a biography (not exceeding 300 words) within seven days following the Nomination Closing Date for circulation purposes. The biography should include:
- Full name, gender and a photograph;
- A summary of academic and professional qualifications, as well as awards attained;
- A summary of employment history, current position and duties, and years of experience;
- Details of civic or other extracurricular activities; and
- Contributions made to the Institute and its Members.
The Institute reserves the right to edit, amend or delete any information contained in the biography. Your personal data will be kept for the purposes of Council election and membership administration.
