As a professional body established by members and for members, the Institute continues to offer concessionary subscription to members who satisfy the necessary criteria. Online application for the concessionary subscription is now available. Please log into your HKCGI user account and apply online as appropriate.
Eligibility of each concessionary rate and online application instruction can be found below:
1. Retired Rate
2. Reduced Rate
3. Hardship Rate
4. Senior Rate
This applies to members who have reached the age of 70 or above before the beginning of the financial year (1 July 2024). Senior rate is granted to eligible members automatically without prior application.

Important notes to applicants:
- All applications for Retired, Reduced or Hardship Rates must be submitted by Sunday, 30 June 2024.
- The Membership Committee’s decision to grant or refuse to grant the concessionary rate applied for shall be final and conclusive on all applicants.
- Retired Rate operative during a financial year shall automatically be carried forward to the next financial year and no further application is required.
- Reduced or Hardship Rate is subject to annual renewal applications by the indicated deadline.
- Members and graduates granted withRetired, Reduced or Hardship Rates who subsequently:
(a) return to gainful employment whether full-time or part-time; and/or
(b) receive income directly from their skills or labours, are required to inform the Institute in writing immediately.
Their concessionary rates will immediately cease and they will be required to pay their annual subscriptions at full rate for the financial year they resumed gainful employment and/or income receipts.
