In accordance with the provisions of Article 56 of the Articles of Association of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (the Institute), Davis NC Lau FCG HKFCG, Joey ML Chung FCG HKFCG and Federick KW Wong FCG HKFCG(PE) being the scrutineers duly appointed by the Council of the Institute, have examined the ballot forms delivered to the Institute as of 6.00 pm on 1 December 2023. At the scrutineers’ meeting held at 6.30 pm on the same day, the ballot count procedures for election of 2024 Council members were duly completed.
A total of 425 ballot forms were received, of which 382 ballot forms were valid and 43 ballot forms were rejected. The grounds for rejection were:
| (i) | Six (6) forms were from graduates who are not eligible to vote. |
| (ii) | Three (3) forms were from members who have not paid their subscriptions. |
| (iii) | One (1) form was from a member whose identity cannot be identified. |
| (iv) | Two (2) forms were duplicate forms. |
| (v) | Thirty-one (31) forms were completed with other mark. |
