HKCGI 2023 Annual General Meeting and Election to 2024 Council

The 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) will be held on Thursday, 14 December 2023 at 6.30pm at Theatre A, 22/F, United Centre, 95 Queensway, Hong Kong.

Please note that the 2023 AGM will be held in a hybrid format. As set out in the Notice of the 2023 AGM, physical attendance will be limited and subject to prior registration and a ballot in case of over-subscription. In any event, Institute Members are encouraged to exercise their right to vote at the AGM (a) by appointing the Chairman of the AGM as their proxy and returning the Proxy Form by the time specified therein, or (b) by attending the AGM via the online platform.

To the extent that you have an email address within the Institute’s records as at 29 November 2023, you will automatically receive, via email, the login details to access the online meeting on or about 1 December 2023.  For those Members who do not have any email address maintained with the Institute’s records, the login details will be sent by post within a week before the AGM. You may also contact the Institute should you wish to update your email address at: member@hkcgi.org.hk.

With regard to the election of Council members, as the number of candidates exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, the election to the 2024 Council shall be conducted by a postal ballot in accordance with Article 56 of the Institute’s Articles of Association. Members who wish to vote for the candidates standing for election to Council must complete and return the Ballot Form no later than 6.00 pm on Friday, 1 December 2023.

Nevertheless, please note that any Member whose subscription remains outstanding shall not be entitled to vote and will not receive the login details on the abovementioned dates.
