On 1 April 2023, the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Ordinance 2022, including the registration regime for dealers in precious metals and stones, has taken effect. “A Category B Precious Metals and Stones registrant” has been added to the definition of Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions. Two specified forms in relation to application for disclosure of protected information have been revised.
