On 21 March 2023, CR announced that the Revenue (Reduction of Business Registration Fees and Branch Registration Fees) Order 2022, which reduces the prescribed business registration fee by HK$2,000, will expire on 1 April 2023. Thereafter, all applications for incorporation of local companies and applications for registration of non-Hong Kong companies delivered to the Registry using the One-stop Company and Business Registration Service must be accompanied by the correct business registration fee and levy.
