In accordance with the provisions of Article 56 of the Articles of Association of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (the Institute), Davis NC Lau FCG HKFCG, Cindy Y Wong FCG HKFCG and Patrick KH Wong FCG HKFCG being the scrutineers duly appointed by the Council of the Institute, have examined the ballot forms delivered to the Institute as of 6.00 pm on 1 December 2022. At the scrutineers’ meeting held at 6.30 pm on the same day, the ballot count procedures for election of 2023 Council members were duly completed.
A total of 384 ballot forms were received, of which 352 ballot forms were valid and 32 ballot forms were rejected. The grounds for rejection were:
| (i) | Four (4) forms were from graduates and registered students and who are not eligible to vote. |
| (ii) | One (1) form was from a member who has not paid his/her subscription. |
| (iii) | Five (5) forms were from members whose identity cannot be identified. |
| (iv) | One (1) form was a duplicate form. |
| (v) | One (1) form was not original. |
| (vi) | Three (3) forms were amended without any initials. |
| (vii) | Seventeen (17) forms were not duly completed following the prescribed instructions. |
The total number of votes cast for the respective candidates were as follows:
