Description

With Chinese New Year approaching in late January 2025, start your festivities by mastering the art of Chinese calligraphy. Unleash your inner artist and create meaningful decorations that symbolize prosperity, good fortune, and happiness, adding a touch of tradition and beauty to your celebrations.

In this workshop, our instructor will guide you through the basics of Chinese calligraphy. You will learn about the essential writing tools, the correct posture for holding and moving the pen, and the styles of Chinese characters: 楷書 and 顔體. Gold ink and red paper will be used in the workshop. All materials will be provided!

By the end of the session, you will have 20 sheets of Spring Couplets (i.e. 身體健康 and 金蛇獻瑞) and 10 sheets of Fai Chun in square size (i.e. 福 and 招財進寶) to take home and impress your friends and family.

Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is designed to offer a rich, hands-on experience in the art of Chinese calligraphy. Seats are limited, so make sure to register soon!
