The Institute holds annual seminars presented by student interns under the leadership of Ms Edith Shih FCG(CS, CGP) HKFCG(CS, CGP)(PE), Past International President, The Chartered Governance Institute and Past President, HKCGI; Executive Director and Company Secretary, CK Hutchison Holdings Limited.

The subject of this, the third year, is ‘Hong Kong Start-Up 101’. In addition to providing a review of corporate structures, the seminar will also discuss a wide range of startup-related topics, including taxation, equity management, investment strategies, intellectual property and corporate governance. Comparative viewpoints will be presented with selected offshore jurisdictions and an overview of emerging global concerns affecting business startups.

Remarks:

1. The seminar is complimentary for HKCGI members, graduates and students only, and will earn 1.5 CPD hours on successful completion.

2. Enrolment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. HKCGI members and graduates are required to fulfil 15 CPD hours, including 4.5 ECPD hours from the Institute’s ECPD courses in the year 2023/2024. Please note that the 1.5 CPD hours to be awarded from this seminar on 16 August 2023 will NOT be counted for the fulfillment of the 4.5-ECPD requirement.
