Description

Giving red packets (利是) is a tradition of Chinese New Year. The beautiful red envelop contains not only money but the warmest blessing from your family and friends. Some people may just throw the red packets away after opening them. Few people may know they are actually great materials to be ‘upcycled’ for craft-making.

The Institute is pleased to collaborate with KCGS (綠在觀塘) for an online workshop to showcase how we can ‘upcycle’ our red packets.

At this online workshop, tutor will demonstrate how to use red packets to create a pinwheel to decorate your home. It is a simple way to create less waste and turn them into a pretty handcraft that can be displayed throughout the year.

Let’s save your red packets and join this online workshop together!
