The Institute announces with great pleasure that its Annual Celebration 2023 will take place in the Garden Lounge of the Hong Kong Club, on Friday, 13 January 2023 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The Institute is delighted to have the Honourable Christopher Hui Ching-yu, GBS, JP, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, as our Guest of Honour.
2022 is a momentous year for the Institute. With the launch of our new name, new brand identity, and new tagline: Better Governance. Better Future, the Institute has renewed impetus to promote our leadership role in governance in Hong Kong and the Mainland of China.
During the year, in addition to organising over 90 CPD training webinars and seminars, the Institute successfully held several large-scale flagship events including a Climate Change Conference in January, the Annual Corporate Regulatory Update (ACRU) in June and the Corporate Governance Conference (CGC) in September. Over the years, the Institute’s signature conferences have earned a reputation as the premier platform for the sharing of technical expertise on issues that define the governance profession on a global scale.
As the Institute grows and evolves, it continues its commitments to promoting corporate governance within the region and providing the best service to our membership and the wider community. The Institute’s latest hybrid training sessions, supported by HKEX, and with speakers from HKEX, titled “Director training – a focus on INEDs”, guide board directors, and especially INEDs, on how to advise on and manage the increasing range of risks in today’s fast-moving business environment. Our Annual Celebration 2023 not only celebrates the Institute’s accomplishments throughout the past year, it also offers the Institute and its supporters an opportunity to look forward to other milestones to be achieved in the years to come.
