Description

As a caring organisation, the Institute has always committed to corporate social responsibility with a belief in giving back to society through care for the community.

We are inviting members, graduates and students to join a volunteer training workshop for elderly service in collaboration with Agency for Volunteer Service (“AVS”). This workshop aims to let volunteers to understand the care and support of elderly, as well as learn from the training session covers to:

1. understand the physical limitation and psychological characteristics of elderly

2. understand the needs of elderly

3. effective communication skills and build rapport with elderly

4. apply empathy in elderly service

5. dos and don’ts of caring for the elderly

A certificate of attendance will be issued by AVS to participants to show our appreciations of their time and efforts.


Let’s join this meaningful volunteer training workshop and show our care to elderly.

Remarks:

1. Full names of participants will be sent to AVS for printing certificate of attendance
2. This event is set out for HKCGI members, graduate and students only
3. Enrolment is on a first-come, first-served basis

Precautionary measures:

To safeguard the health of participants, participants with any of the following circumstances are not encouraged to join:

- Fever;
- Presence of symptoms of novel infectious disease.
